**The Stats:
Grade: AAA grade freshwater pearl.

Size: Rarer very large 15mm x 11mm size; 23mm or about 7/8" in overall length. That's just about the diameter of a US quarter coin which measures 24mm across.

Shape: Exceptionally graceful teardrop shape.

Skin: Smooth skin.

Color: Rare gemmy metallic ivory blush color.

Luster: Very high mirror like  luster.

Overtones: Rose overtones. 

Gemmy quality. Flawless. The best of the best!

There is an outside chance that I could match Zyta for an earring pair or ring. No guarantees though, I'm afraid.

3.2g or .12oz in weight. A US penny coin most often weighs in at .08oz - so about the weight of 1 1/2 US penny coins.

Pearl Facts:
I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

Freshwater pearls generally range in size from about 3.0-7.0mm. Any size above this limit is considered large. The larger the pearl, the harder to find. Finding one with a spectacular color and graceful shape is even harder.

Zyta is an exceptionally fine pearl on all points. She has been lightly bleached even though she is not a bright white color. This is considered standard practice and has been done seemingly forever to even out a pearl's tone. She is very impressive in any case. 

Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the inside of the mother oyster's shell.

Natural untreated colors range from whitish, through pink, apricot to peach. Some unusual and rare golden, purple, and blue gray colors are occasionally available.
