Grade: AAA grade freshwater stick pearl

Size: Huge 32.5mm x 12.5mm x 8mm in size; 40mm or a bit more than 1 1/4" in overall length. That is the length of one US nickel and one US penny coin put together.

Shape: Typical baroque Biwa stick pearl shape

Skin: Smooth skin

Color: Natural untreated glowing iridescent white color

Luster: Very high gemmy luster

Overtones: A rainbow of highly iridescent overtones. 

Very lively! Gemmy. Considered flawless.

4g or .14oz in weight. That is just a bit shy of two US penny coins. One penny usually weighs in at .08oz.

**Pearl Facts:
Stick pearls are a type of Biwa pearl. Biwa pearls were originally cultivated in Japan in Lake Biwa which I understand is near Kyoto. 

The term has evolved to refer most often to a type of non-nucleated second-harvest flattish elongated stick type pearls, cultured in China. The pearls are entirely nacre. They tend to be rather eccentric in their shapes, with very high luster, crinkly in their skin texture, with overtones in pink, blue and sometimes lavender. None of these things are considered flaws. Flawed Biwa pearls would be heavily pitted and display a dull luster. The pits would appear black. 

Bright white pearls are most often bleached. Yara has NOT been bleached. Her color is entirely natural.
