**Pearl Facts:
Keshi pearls are a special class of pearl. They can be found in any type of pearl, but are most abundant in freshwater pearls. They are wild, highly textured and pure 100% nacre. They are not implanted but occur as a "bonus" to the culturing process. They come in many different types of shape from chunky to something that resembles a flower petal.
**Gemstone Facts:
The center genuine raw untreated, faceted, round, African Blue Sapphire gemstone bead measures 9mm in diameter; is well cut; and exhibits a vitreous surface. It is not dyed. The smaller raw untreated, genuine blue and yellow faceted rondelle shaped sapphire gemstone beads are equally well cut and measure 3-3.5mm. These are bead grade sapphires. As such they are more stone like than glass like. The more glass like sapphires are used for rings and earrings, generally speaking.
Sapphires are used as birthstones for both September and April.
**I also used two solid 14kt yellow gold 3mm stardust beads to highlight the center sapphire to add just a bit of sparkle.
**Charm Facts:
The charm is a solid and very detailed Sterling Silver Scarab beetle, which to the ancient Egyptians was a symbol of rebirth. It is very finely done, very detailed, including the sun symbol surrounding its head.
A statement of hope and a prayer for well being wrapped up in a small package. Perfect for a birthday, wedding or anniversary.
**Terzah will come with the usual random gift wrapping, an anti-tarnish tab and a silica gel pk which will help to keep the silver clean. The pearls are in minimal contact with the silver which should prevent or slow damage to the pearls. I have been advised that heavily tarnished silver may discolor or somehow damage the pearls. So far neither I, nor my testers, have seen any evidence to support this claim. Terzah will also come with a cleaning cloth to keep the silver polished. Sterling Silver does require a little bit of upkeep, but lots of people think it is well worth the trouble.
