**THE STATS:
Grade: AAA grade Tahitian Circlé pearl.
Size: Large 13.5mm x 11.5mm size. 
Shape: Oval barrel shape.
Skin: Smooth Circlé type skin. 
Color: Striking natural untreated black peacock color. 
Luster: High luster, almost mirror like. 
Overtones:  Unusual sienna overtones. 

There are a couple of natural very shallow dimples which are visible in some lighting conditions. Is that still considered flawless? You decide. Tahitian Circlé Pearls are a distinct subset of Tahitian Pearls. They are sought after for their distinctive characteristics and visual interest. Consult the photos carefully. 

13.5mm or about 1/2" in length. On a US penny that would be the measure from the top of the coin to about the date line on the right of the coin.

 7.7g or .27oz in total weight. 

**PEARL FACTS:
I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearl will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (Dimples, chips, "burn marks" any unsightly thing).

Their color range is quite wide producing natural untreated colors ranging through silver through various grays, to black, peacocks, and occasionally gold (not to be confused with the South Sea golds). A variety of overtones effect the body color producing what are termed pistachio, silver, champagne, gold, cherry, or lavender pearls.

Taylor's color is just as the mother oyster made her. Her color is very striking and clear!

Nothing glows quite like a Tahitian. They are quite individualistic. Luster can range from almost mirror like to soft and silky.

Poor quality pearls - of any kind - are dull and chalky.

**Sterling Facts:
Sterling silver is designated ".925" Genuine sterling silver will tarnish in time to a deep blue black color. If you want your silver to remain white and gleaming - it must be polished regularly.

Sterling silver is nickel free and lead free and will not irritate you skin.

Your order will come in what is called a pearl wallet - a type of pearl necklace storage system that prevents kinking in your necklace. Your order will also include a pearl safe cleaning cloth and a tarnish inhibiting tab which should be kept with your necklace when you are not wearing it.
