I have a kick wheel that I throw my pots on when I am not hand building. In this case I threw the pot, trimmed it, and then added the handles. Even though I made this bowl using a wheel, it is not reproducible. It is one of a kind.
Original design slip-painted in yellow over light blue terra sigillata. Then sgraffito drawn and carved on the exterior. Interior painted and stamped with multiple slips using the same colors.
All my bowls are food safe unless otherwise noted. Signed and dated. - I would call it top shelf dishwasher safe but happier to be hand washed. The detergents used in dishwashers will etch glass and ceramic objects over time. If you really care about something - hand wash it.
