**Pearl Facts:
Pippin's pearls are a very popular 6-6.5mm size. That's about 1/4" in diameter.

Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the mother shell. Natural untreated colors range from whitish, through pink, apricot to peach.

Other colors, chocolate being one example, are permanently dyed. 

It has been said that contemporary Chinese cultured freshwater pearls rival the quality of the most expensive natural pearls ever found.

**Silver Facts:
The newer easy care, tarnish resistant silvers: Argentium® Silver,  Continuum® Silver and  Sterlium Plus® Silver are designated ".930".  Sterling silver is designated ".925" 

Genuine sterling silver will tarnish in time to a deep blue black color. If you want your silver to remain white and gleaming - it must be polished regularly.

Containing more germanium than traditional alloys, these new formulas of silver are highly tarnish-resistant. These alloys are referred to as: “Argentium® Silver”, "Continuum® Silver", or “Sterlium Plus® Silver” depending on the source of the alloy. Because of its resistance to tarnishing, this new alloy of silver is expected to be safe for your pearls.

Even though  Argentium® Silver , Continuum® Silver, or Sterlium Plus® Silver almost never needs much care, I always send along an anti-tarnish tab and a polishing cloth with your order. The tab should be kept with your pendant when it is being stored. It will not prevent tarnish but will inhibit it from forming, and will not harm your pearl. The cleaning cloth is also pearl safe.

 Sterling Silver,  Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver, and Sterlium Plus® Silver are all nickel free and lead free and will not irritate you skin.
