**The Stats:
 Grade: AAA grade freshwater nucleated pearl.

Size: Nice very large 14mm x 10.5mm x 9.75mm sized pearl.

Shape: Graceful baroque drop shape.

Skin: Very smooth skin for a nucleated pearl. Pearla has just a couple of shallow dimples if you look closely. Taking everything into account I have rated her AAA and flawless. 

Color: Natural untreated cream/gold color. The color is more complex than you might assume.

 Luster: Very high luster.

Overtones: With silver and champagne overtones and a gold blush. 

Gemmy. Considered flawless.

18", vintage, Rhodium plated, solid sterling silver, 1mm, curb chain with spring ring clasp IS included with this pendant.

Pendant measures 32.5mm or nearly 1 1/4" in overall length. That is just short of the diameter of 2 dimes put together.

Pendant weight 3.7g or .13oz in weight. 4.7g or .17oz in total weight with the chain.

**Silver Facts: 
Sterling Silver (.925) does not contain nickel or lead which is the main reason that some plated items may irritate your skin.

The silver on the pendant is lightly patinated to add a bit of contrast and depth to the silver. Just enough to add a bit of romance!

Sterling silver will tarnish over time and has the potential to harm your pearls. Your pendant will also come with a small anti-tarnish tab which should be kept with your pearls. The tab should last for 2 years. It will not harm your pearls. The tab does not prevent tarnish, but it will inhibit tarnish from forming. The cleaner you can manage to keep your silver, the better.

**Rhodium Facts:
The chain is Rhodium plated. This should help with the cleaning of the chain since Rhodium does not tarnish. 

Rhodium is a member of the platinum precious metals group. White gold and sterling silver are often  plated to improve the color of the metal and to avoid tarnishing. (Yes, white gold will darken over time, but does not tarnish as sterling silver will.) 

Rhodium is quite durable and is hypoallergenic. It will not harm your pearls. Rhodium by itself is a good deal more expensive than platinum or gold. But used as a plating material on Sterling Silver, it is affordable, durable, and adds value to the silver. A Rhodium plated chain will retain is white color with little or no up keep.
