The Stats: Green: 4mm round; natural green sapphire; brilliant diamond cut; faceted natural gemstone; AAA grade; vitreous surface; flawless. Pink/peach: 4mm round, beryllium treated pink peach natural sapphire; brilliant diamond cut; faceted natural gemstone; AAA grade; vitreous surface; flawless. Stone sizes: 4mm stone; 5mm across the setting or a bit less than 1/4" across. On a US penny coin that would be the measure from the top of the coin to about Lincoln's eyebrows. 2.1g or .07oz in total weight. A 4mm sapphire is about 1/3 of a carat. A carat is actually a unit of weight. The same sized diamond would be 1/4 carat. Sapphires are denser than diamonds. They are a 9 on the Mohs scale - to the diamond's 10. Their refractive index is 1.76-1.78, which is pretty high. Diamond has a refractive index of 2.42. Only the man made Cubic Zirconia and Moissanite rival Diamond's refractive index in jewelry gemstones. 

RING SIZE: A US size 7 ring measures 54.3mm or about 2 3/16" in circumference. One of these Padme rings uses a green sapphire that is tending a bit toward the blue side. Some greens tend more toward the yellow side and are usually referred to as "Lemon Lime". The other uses a pink/peach sapphire which is one of the more unusual colors available. I can get almost any color of sapphire for you. Blues are the most easily sourced, followed by white, yellow and pink. Greens are rarer. Purple is more rare. Red is very rare indeed. I am talking here about natural sapphires - not lab created stones. I can get lab created stones, but prefer not to use them. If you have a particular color in mind, ask me and I will see if I can find it for you. I have a special fondness for the greens, but I find that I really love this pink/peach! **Prices quoted are for natural sapphires in the colors indicated.
