Gorgeous floating Akoya pearl pendant necklace permanently installed on a solid 14kt gold chain. 14kt yellow gold chains are shown in the photos, but you may order white or rose gold if you choose. Rose gold is the more limited choice. If you would prefer silver, I would recommend Continuum silver as that would be more tarnish resistant. Chain lengths include 16", 18" or 20". Other lengths may be available for an additional fee.

Akoya pearls come in white to cream and light blue gray to a bit darker blue. I will send you photos of what is available currently in the color range you choose.

Prices may vary a bit depending on what is available when you place your order. I do not anticipate the price being more than is quoted in this listing, but these things are sometimes unpredictable.

The pearls I use are rated as follows:

AAA grade;

Akoya pearl;

Anticipated size 8-9.5mm in size;

Round or near round shape;

White or blue/gray color;

High to gemmy luster;

With silver or rose overtones.

If you wish to order a floating pendant with a smaller or different type of pearl the price will be different, probably much less. Let me know what you might want and I will make an estimate for you. Some I have made come in at the $200.00 range.

**PEARL FACTS:

I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearl will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (Dimples, chips, "burn marks" any unsightly thing).

These Akoya pearls colors are just as the mother oyster made her.

Akoyas are quite popular and can be very individualistic. Luster can range from almost mirror like to soft and silky. I normally use the higher luster grade. If you would like something a bit softer, let me know and I will see what I can do.

Poor quality pearls - of any kind - are dull and chalky.
