**Pearl Facts:
The freshwater (FW) pearls vary in size; are mixed keshi and potato type; they are all AAA grade; high luster with pink and blue overtones. The pearls display the appropriate skin textures for their respective types and show no unsightly defects. Flawless, of course.

**Gemstone Facts:
The faceted chrysoprase center stone measures 22mm x 15mm and appears to have been hand faceted. It is free from unsightly blemishes, well polished, and presents a vitreous surface. Best quality available.

The 7mm x 7mm chrysoprase pillow beads are smooth skinned, well cut, evenly matched, well polished and present a vitreous surface. Best quality available.

The 4mm Sleeping Beauty turquoise round beads are smooth skinned, well cut, evenly matched, well polished and present a vitreous surface. Best natural quality available. Much of what passes for turquoise these days is reconstituted or filled with resin or something. I tend to pass this material by. I prefer the better quality of stone. It costs more but I think it is worth it.

The rhodolite garnets are of mixed sizes, rounds, faceted roundels and tube type shapes; display clear, clean color; are well cut, evenly matched, well polished and present a vitreous surface. Best quality available and natural colors.

The 4mm round solid sterling silver "stardust" beads add sparkle and texture. 

The necklace is hand knotted on silk thread, by me, of course.

**Fun Facts:
Chrysoprase is a non-traditional (alternative) birthstone for both May and December and is said to be the favorite gemstone of Alexander the Great. (!) It is associated with the 4th or heart chakra. 

I was told - after I made this necklace - that the association with sterling silver was entirely right and that I had done a "good job" as far as esoteric gemstone "power" is concerned. Take that how you will. 

Legend has it that these stones protect travelers. 

**Maintenance Facts:
To prevent kinking or knotting in the strand, please store the necklace in the pearl ‘wallet’ which is included for your convenience with your order. 

Midori will also come with a small anti-tarnish tab which should be kept in the wallet. The tab should last for 2 years. It will not harm the pearls. The tab does not prevent tarnish, but it will inhibit tarnish from forming. The cleaner you can manage to keep your silver, the better. You will also receive a pearl safe polishing cloth with your order.

Do not use commercial silver cleaner on this necklace as that will harm your pearls. If you find that you must clean this necklace, use a very mild detergent – like Ivory or something similar – and a very soft toothbrush - like a toddler's toothbrush - to gently “scrub” the dirt away. Do not allow the necklace to hang as that might stretch the strand and make restringing necessary. Simply pat the strand with something like a soft bath towel and allow it to air dry.

I love the color and rhythm of this one. It is long enough to wear with a turtleneck in the winter and nestles nicely on the chest if wearing that cute little summer dress you've been longing to show off. It would look great with some suits, depending on the cut of the blouse. 

Midori is more subtle and beautiful than the photos convey. I hope some of her beauty comes through on your monitor.
