The Stats: Cast from my original wax design in Continuum® Silver. Cut out design made to fit an engagement ring with a 5mm to about 6mm round gemstone.

Sizing, if needed, is free. I can make a band similar to this one in any size needed, in different metals, with or without accents or texture. Just let me know what you would like. 5.0g or .18oz in weight. One US penny most often weighs in at .08oz. So Melody would weigh about 2 1/2 pennies. Band measures 4mm wide and 2.5mm high. Two 1.5mm cubic zirconia add a bit of sparkle to the band.

Silver Facts: The newer tarnish resistant silvers: Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver and Sterlium Plus® Silver are designated ".930". Sterling silver is designated ".925" Genuine sterling silver will tarnish in time to a deep blue black color. If you want your silver to remain white and gleaming - it must be polished regularly. Containing more germanium than traditional alloys, these silvers are highly tarnish-resistant. These alloys are referred to as: “Argentium® Silver”, "Continuum® Silver", or “Sterlium Plus® Silver” depending on the source of the alloy. Because of its resistance to tarnishing, this new alloy of silver is expected to be safe for your pearls. It is more expensive than Sterling, but much less expensive than gold. Even though Argentium® Silver , Continuum® Silver, or Sterlium Plus® Silver almost never needs much care, I always send along an anti-tarnish tab and a polishing cloth with your order. The tab should be kept with your ring when it is being stored. It will not prevent tarnish but will inhibit it from forming, and will not harm your pearl. The cleaning cloth is also pearl safe. Sterling Silver, Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver, and Sterlium Plus® Silver are all nickel free and lead free and will not irritate you skin. The different names for this new alloy seem to be a branding thing, much like the use of the name, “Champagne”. Only the wineries located in the Champagne region of France are allowed to call their sparkling wine Champagne.
