I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available.  AAA  grade pearls  will have  a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the inside of the mother oyster's shell. Maya's color is permanently dyed. Only Tahitian pearls come close to this color.

Maya fits very neatly on the ear. I like to angle this style earring toward my chin, which frames my face nicely. You could also angle them up following the curve of your ear - or straight down as Jenny has. Your choice. This is a very lovely design, simple and classic.

All occasion wear. Will go from the office, out on the town, or to a very formal occasion with ease.
