**The Stats: 
Grade: AAA Grade earth mined Citrine semi-precious gemstone.

Size: 4.5mm across the setting or about 3/8" in diameter. Very light, .3g or .01oz in weight per earring. It should be light enough even for the young. If you have multiple piercings, Marni could be worn in any position.

Shape: Round and faceted.

Color: A rich honey gold, sometimes called burnt orange. Most Citrine gemstones are heat treated. I assume that these have been heat treated as well, but no treatment was disclosed by the vendor. The color is quite stable, deep and gorgeous. 

Cut: Diamond cut.

Clarity: Clean and clear.

Surface: Vitreous.

Well-cut. Flawless.

**Citrine Facts:
Citrine is a semi-precious quartz gemstone in the same way that Amethyst is a semi-precious quartz gemstone. It has a Mohs value of 7, which is quite durable. Most Citrine is mined in Brazil and is heat treated to enhance the color of the rough. The yellow citrines are tinted by naturally occurring iron compounds.

Sometimes Citrine is referred to as Golden, Madeira or Spanish Topaz. Topaz, however, is an entirely different gemstone and more rare.
