**The Stats:
Grade: AAA grade genuine earth mined Topaz gemstone.

Size: 6mm in diameter; 6.8mm across the setting or a bit more than 1/4". On a US penny coin that would be the measure from the top of the coin to about Lincoln's ear.

Shape: Round shape.

Color: Striking Glacier Blue color. This color is no longer available. I have only one stone left, cut in a heart shape.

Cut: Well cut; faceted.

Clarity: Clean and Clear.

Surface: Well polished and with a vitreous surface. 

Beautiful. Unique. Flawless. 

1.6g or .05oz in weight. A US penny coin most often weighs in at .08 oz.

**Topaz Facts:
Topaz is a popular gemstone for all jewelry applications. In its pure form it is white (colorless). 

Topaz has been known and used for at least 2,000  years. The Egyptians and Greeks sought and used it in their jewelry. The word "topaz" might have been derived from the Sanskrit word, "tapas", which means "fire" a recognition of Topaz's high refractive index of 1.61-1.64 (fire or sparkle)

Topaz has a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale. That makes it durable for most jewelry.  Topaz also exhibits pleochroism, which is the appearance of several colors in a single stone depending on the viewing angle. Most other similar gemstones do not typically exhibit pleochroism.

Topaz ranges from colorless (white) to yellow, orange, red-brown, light to dark blue, pink to red, violet and light green. 

Most Topaz gemstones are treated in some way to enhance color. Makynna has been coated with metal oxides to create this unique and intense Glacier Blue color.

Good quality Topaz is transparent to translucent. Most stones are at least "eye clean" - no visable inclusions. Azula is flawless - no inclusions.

Topaz is highly prized for its brilliance and vitreous (glassy) luster. 

Topaz is a birthstone for November along with Citrine. Yellow Topaz is called Imperial Topaz and has been prized since ancient times. It is probably the most prized of available Topaz gemstones.

As a diamond alternative Topaz in any color including white would be a good choice.

** Nevertheless, I will include a anti-tarnish tab and a pearl safe cleaning cloth in your order to help you to keep your setting bright and shining. 

Makynna should require very little care. Rhodium is a member of the platinum precious metals group. White gold and sterling silver may be plated to improve the color of the metal and to avoid tarnishing. (Yes, white gold will darken over time, but does not tarnish as sterling silver will.) 
Rhodium plated Traditional Sterling Silver is allergen free and will not tarnish. Nevertheless, I will include a small anti-tarnish tab which should be kept with your ring when you are not wearing it. The tab should last for 2 years. The tab does not completely prevent tarnish, but it will inhibit tarnish from forming. To further protect your ring, I will also include a small silica gel pack which will help protect against airborne pollutants.
