I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearl will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing). Lusca's pearls are flawless.

Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the inside of the mother oyster's shell. Natural untreated colors range from whitish, through pink, apricot to peach. Lusca's color is just as her mother oyster made her.
