**The Stats:

The round Oxidized Filigree Sterling Silver magnetic clasp measures 8mm in diameter.
On a US penny that would be from the top of the coin to Lincoln's nose. 9.6g or .34oz in total weight.

**Pearl Facts: 
-I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface area that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips, "burn marks", or any unsightly thing). Flawless would mean that there are zero dimples, chips etc. 
-Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the inside of the mother oyster's shell. Natural untreated colors of freshwater pearls generally range from whitish, through pink, apricot to peach. Most white pearls of any type have been bleached - meaning exposed to bright light to even out their tone. This has been done since Roman times. I assume these have been bleached. Poor quality pearls - of any kind - are dull and chalky. Poor quality pearls look decidedly odd.

**Silver Facts: 
-Sterling Silver is designated as .925. Sterling Silver is a precious metal. Sterling Silver does not contain nickel, copper or lead which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin. 
-This Oxidized Filigree Sterling Silver clasp will require an occasional polish with a pearl safe polishing cloth, which I always send along for your convenience. You will also receive an anti-tarnish tab and a gel packet which should be kept with your bracelet when it is being stored. It will not prevent tarnish but will inhibit it from forming, and will not harm your pearls. 
-This sterling silver magnetic clasp is strong. Easy on and easy off. While you might pick up the occasional paper clip, Lucy will not go walk about leaving you with a bare wrist. I suppose there might be some rather odd occurrence where you could lose your bracelet. I haven't met one yet - but never say never... Also I have never received a report of someone having trouble with their pacemaker, etc. But use your own judgement on this question.
