Size: Huge 21mm x 12.5mm x 10.5mm (H X W X D) size; 33mm or a bit more than 1 1/4" in length. That is nearly the length of 2 US penny coins put together. 2 US penny coins would be 38mm in length.

Shape: Pleasing long baroque drop shape.

Skin: Very gently naturally rippled skin.

Color: Natural untreated white/cream and lavender bi-color.

Luster: High glowing luster.

Overtones: Multiple overtones, including a golden blush.

The term, "bi-color", refers to the phenomenon of two distinct colors occurring on a single pearl. Most often it is observed in South Sea and Tahitian pearls where the colors are shaded usually from the top to the bottom. The type of bi-coloration displayed by Lillia is very, very rare.

I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

Nucleated pearls typically show folds, dimples, ripples and voids which are completely natural and organic.. These are not considered flaws, but are sought after for their visual interest and the color play that results. I have rated Lillia AAA for her luster, exceptionally large size, rarity, unique untreated color, smoother than expected skin texture, interest and character.

This is a one of a kind very unusual pearl pendant. The color will subtly change in different lighting conditions resulting in an active color play across the surface of the pearl. The different tones displayed across the surface of the pearl are entirely natural and untreated. This type of pearl is variously called: nucleated, flameball or fireball freshwater pearl, or some combination thereof.

Lilla's very generous bail will allow you to wear her with a thicker chain up to about 3mm or so.
