**Copper Jewelry:
The use of copper for medicinal purposes ancient. The world’s oldest medical texts, the Eber Papyrus, states, “Treat inflammation with pulverized copper”. I assume that means that you are supposed to drink it. I wouldn't recommend that actually. Many people today wear copper on their wrists as it is assumed that doing so allows the copper to be absorbed through the skin in amounts that are not toxic, but might be helpful in countering the inflammatory effects of conditions such as arthritis. I have no idea that this is true, but I have a couple of friends that think that the copper is helping them.

**Carnelian Facts:
Carnelian is a brownish-red mineral which is commonly used as a semi-precious gemstone. Similar to carnelian is sard, which is generally harder and darker (the difference is not rigidly defined, and the two names are often used interchangeably). Both carnelian and sard are varieties of the silica mineral chalcedony colored by impurities of iron oxide. The color can vary greatly, ranging from pale orange to an intense almost-black coloration. It is most common in Brazil, India, Siberia and Germany.

The Carnelians used here appear to be genuine.
