**Carnelian Facts
Carnelian is a brownish-red mineral which is commonly used as a semi-precious gemstone. Similar to carnelian is sard, which is generally harder and darker (the difference is not rigidly defined, and the two names are often used interchangeably). Both carnelian and sard are varieties of the silica mineral chalcedony colored by impurities of iron oxide. The color can vary greatly, ranging from pale orange to an intense almost-black coloration. It is most common in Brazil, India, Siberia and Germany.

Sterling Silver is designated as .925.

Sterling Silver does not contain nickel or lead which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin.

Sterling silver will tarnish over time to a deep blue black. I will include a small anti-tarnish tab which should be kept with your sterling silver earrings when you are not wearing them. The tab should last for 2 years. It will not harm your pearl. The tab does not prevent tarnish, but it will inhibit tarnish from forming. I will also include a polishing cloth which is safe for your gemstones.
