Size:  Huge 17mm x 14.5mm x 14mm size.

Shape: Even semi-baroque drop shape.

Skin: Smoother than expected slightly rippled skin texture.

Color: Very rare natural untreated golden metallic pistachio color.

Luster:  Silky high luster.

Overtones: With rose overtones.

Gemmy.  Considered Flawless within its type. Very rare natural untreated color!

There will be some color play with Hera. She will show more silver, more gold, more pistachio, and/or more rose depending on the light source and your movement.

25mm or about 1" in overall length. A US quarter coin measures 23mm across. A man's shirt button seems to average about 10mm across. So a bit more than a quarter and a bit less than 3 man's shirt buttons. I hope that helps some to visualize how large Hera is.

5.3g or .19oz in weight. Most US penny coins weigh in at .8oz. Hera weighs a little more than 2 US penny coins.
  
**Pearl Facts:
Nucleated pearls are a newer type of freshwater pearl cultivated in China.These pearls generally display a rippled skin texture which may show folds, dimples, ripples from deep to shallow and sometimes voids. These are not considered flaws, but are sought after for their visual interest and the color play that results.

Natural untreated color means just as the mother oyster made it. The color is dictated by the inside of the mother oyster's shell.
