These pearls are very lively with their tendency to change with the available light between tangerine and old rose. While some freshwater pearls approach this color naturally, these pearls are permanently dyed.

Matinee Length of 20". This length would fall to just about the breastbone on most people.

Hand strung and knotted on a durable silk cord with a hidden screw clasp for safety.

**Freshwater Facts:
I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearl will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

The price of any given pearl depends on several factors – type of pearl, size, shape, surface quality or skin type, color, luster, and overtones/orient. As you might imagine, well matched pairs or strands command higher prices.  Greta's pearls are well matched.

Freshwater pearl colors range through white to cream, pink to mauve, and apricot to orange. Within these general categories many variations can occur. For instance, the deepest mauve may actually be lavender or purple. Within the apricot to orange range, you might find a gold. Some of these natural colors are very rare.

Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the inside of the mother oyster's shell. 

**To prevent kinking or knotting in the strand, please store the necklace in the enclosed  pearl ‘wallet’. It is quite substantial and will protect your pearls very well. The wallet is included at no extra cost.

**Shipping and insurance are quoted for delivery within the United States (free shipping in the United States only). Shipping outside of the United States will require a fee due to additional costs that vary per country. 

A signature of someone over the age of 18 will be required upon delivery.
