I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

Color 
Freshwater pearls generally range in size from about 3.0-7.0mm. Anything above a 7mm size is considered large.

Natural untreated pearl colors range from whitish, through pink, apricot to peach. Some unusual and rare golden, purple, and blue gray colors are occasionally available. 

Other colors are permanently dyed. Evie's color has been permanently dyed. Even in a dyed color, Evie's green/black teal color is rare. Tahitian pearls may sometimes approach Evie's color in an untreated color. Even so, this color is quite rare in a Tahitian. Tahitians are, of course, quite a bit more expensive than Freshwater pearls.

**Silver Facts:
Sterling Silver is designated as .925. The new formulas, Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver and  Sterlium Plus® Silver Sterling Silver, are designated as .930.

Sterling Silver, Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver, and  Sterlium Plus® Silver do not contain nickel or lead which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin.

Even though  Argentium® Silver , Continuum® Silver, or Sterlium Plus® Silver almost never need much care, I always send along an anti-tarnish tab and a polishing cloth with your order. The tab should be kept with your ring when it is being stored. It will not prevent tarnish but will inhibit it from forming, and will not harm your pearl. The cleaning cloth is also pearl safe.
