I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing). Desiree's pearl is flawless.

The Tahitian color range is quite wide producing natural untreated colors ranging through various grays, to black, peacocks, and sometimes gold. A variety of overtones effect the body color producing what are termed pistachio, silver, champagne, gold, cherry, or lavender pearls. Please see the photos for some examples.

Sterling Silver does not contain nickel or lead which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin.

Sterling silver will tarnish over time to a deep blue black. I will include a small anti-tarnish tab and a silicon gel pack which should be kept with your ring when you are not wearing it. They should last for 2 years. They will not harm your pearl. They do not prevent tarnish, but will inhibit tarnish from forming. I will also include a pearl polishing cloth with your order.
