11 - 11.5mm is about 7/16thor just short of 1/2" in diameter.

The colors are permanently dyed. No oyster produces exactly these colors naturally. Some Tahitians might approach these colors, but not at this price. They would be quite a bit more expensive if I could even find as well matched pairs.
