**Pearl Facts:
I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

South Sea pearls are saltwater pearls cultivated in the area centered around Northern Australia and Southeast Asia including Myanmar and Indonesia.

The most common colors are white ranging through cream to silver - or pale to dark gold.

Natural untreated colors are just as the mother oyster made them - not bleached, dyed, heat treated or irradiated. Cariana's pearl is just as her mother made her.

**Green Diopside facts: 
Also called, "Chrome Diopside". Diopside derives its name from the Greek dis, "twice", and òpsè, "face" in reference to the two ways of orienting the vertical prism.

At  5.5–6.5 on the Mohs scale, chrome diopside is relatively soft to scratch. It is quite safe for necklace or earring applications, but not recommended for rings or bracelets. Due to the deep green color of the gem, they are sometimes referred to as Siberian emeralds, though they are on a mineralogical level completely unrelated, emerald being a precious stone and diopside being a semi-precious stone.

**Vermeil Facts:
The only plating I normally use with any regularity is Rhodium over .925 sterling silver or 14kt white gold.

VERMEIL is pronounced "vehr-MAY," and is solid .925 Sterling Silver which is plated with at least 10kt gold to a thickness of at lease 2.5 microns. This bail is plated to a 3 micron thickness.

24kt over sterling silver offers a beautiful rich color while being very strong. The 3 micron thickness offers a durable surface. I am confidant that these will serve you well for many years.
