Overall setting measures 7.5mm or about 1/4" in diameter. On a US penny coin that would be the measure from the top of the coin to about the bridge of Lincoln's nose.

Weight is 2.7g or .10oz. A US penny most often weighs in at .08oz.

**PEARL FACTS: 
I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available.  AAA  grade pearl  will have  a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

Color in freshwater pearls is dictated by the colors produced by the inside of the mother oyster's shell.
 
Although most white pearls are bleached, Bette's color is just as her mother oyster made her. 

**SILVER FACTS:
The newer, higher purity, tarnish resistant silvers: Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver and Sterlium Plus® Silver are designated ".930" or ".960" depending on the amount of silver in the formula.  Traditional Sterling Silver is designated ".925"

These formulas are hypoallergenic, antibacterial and highly tarnish resistant. They do not contain nickel, copper or lead  which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin. Also they are made from reclaimed silver. 

Even though  Argentium® Silver , Continuum® Silver, or Sterlium Plus® Silver almost never needs much care, I always send along an anti-tarnish tab and a polishing cloth with your order. The tab should be kept with your ring when it is being stored. It will not prevent tarnish but will inhibit it from forming, and will not harm your pearl. The cleaning cloth is also pearl safe.
