Grade: AAA grade Tahitian pearl.

Size: 8.5mm in diameter size. 

Shape: Round shape. 

Skin: Smooth skin. 

Color: Rare natural and untreated antique bronze peacock color. Very rare, in fact.  

Luster: High glowing luster. 

Overtones: Bronze and pewter overtones. 

Very beautiful. Very rare. And flawless, of course.

Set in solid 14kt yellow gold, not plated. 14kt yellow gold does not tarnish. The yellow gold complements this pearl very well.

8.5mm or almost 3/8" in diameter. On a US penny coin, that would be the measure from the top of the coin to about Lincolns upper lip.
This gold ring weighs 3.7g or .13oz. A US penny most often weighs in at .08oz.

I grade my pearls using an A-AAA grading scale, where AAA is the best quality available. AAA grade pearls will have a surface that is at least 95% free of any defects (dimples, chips," burn marks", any unsightly thing).

Tahitian pearl natural and untreated colors range through various grays, to black, peacocks, and sometimes gold. A variety of overtones effect the body color producing what are termed pistachio, silver, champagne, gold, cherry, or lavender pearls. 

Badr gold's color is just as her mother oyster made her, completely natural and untreated. And indeed, very rare.

Tahitian pearls are in a class by themselves. Nothing glows quite like a Tahitian. They are quite individualistic. 

Luster in any type of pearl can range from almost mirror like to soft and silky. Poor quality pearls  - of any kind -  are dull and chalky.
