Grade: AAA grade natural, genuine, earth mined, Topaz gemstone from Brazil.

Size: 6mm in diameter; 7mm across the setting or a bit more than 1/4". On a US penny coin that would be the measure from the top of the coin to the middle of Lincoln's ear. 1.55ct.

Shape: Round shape.

Color: Sparkling Sky Blue color. Like a clear Colorado day!

Cut: Well cut; faceted.

Clarity: Clean and Clear.

Surface: Well polished and with a vitreous surface.

**Topaz Facts:
Topaz is a popular gemstone for all jewelry applications. It has been known and valued for at least 2,000  years. The Egyptians and Greeks, among others, sought and used it in their jewelry. The word "topaz" might have been derived from the Sanskrit word, "tapas", which means "fire" a recognition of Topaz's high refractive index of 1.61-1.64 (fire or sparkle)

Topaz has a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale. That makes it durable for most jewelry including rings.  Topaz also exhibits pleochroism, which is the appearance of several colors in a single stone depending on the viewing angle. Most other similar gemstones do not typically exhibit pleochroism.

Topaz ranges from colorless (white) to yellow, orange, red-brown, light to dark-blue, pink to red, violet and light-green. Most Topaz on the market today is enhanced to change its color. Azora has most likely been heat treated to intensify her color. 

Good quality Topaz is transparent to translucent. Most stones are at least "eye clean" - no visable inclusions. Azora is flawless - no inclusions.

Topaz is highly prized for its brilliance and vitreous (glassy) luster. 

Topaz is a birthstone for November along with Citrine. Yellow Topaz is called Imperial Topaz and has been prized since ancient times.

As a diamond alternative Topaz in any color including white would be a good choice.

**Silver Facts:
Argentium® Silver, Continuum® Silver and Sterlium Plus® Silver Sterling Silver (all similar formulas) are all designated .930
Sterling Silver is designated as .925.

Neither Sterling Silver nor Argentium® Silver contains nickel or lead which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin.

Azora should require very little care since this formula is highly tarnish resistant. Nevertheless, I will include a small anti-tarnish tab which should be kept with your Argentium® Silver ring when you are not wearing it. The tab should last for 2 years. The tab does not completely prevent tarnish, but it will inhibit tarnish from forming. I will also include a small silica gel packet which should be helpful in keeping pollutants from harming your ring.
