Size: 2mm diameter stone; 3.5mm across the setting or a little less than 1/8". Stone is .04ct. 
Shape: Round shape. Color: Beautiful shimmering seawater blue color. Considered the best color. Cut: Brilliant, Faceted. 
Clarity: Clear and Clean. 
Surface: Clean, well polished and vitreous.

**Gemstone Facts: Aquamarine, like Emerald, is a beryl. 
With a Mohs rating of 7.5 - 8.0 and a refractive index of 1.57 - 1.58 it is a very popular and durable stone for all jewelry applications. Most faceted stones are clean, clear and present a vitreous surface. As with most colored gemstones, color is the most important factor in determining an Aquamarine's value. Generally speaking - the darker the color the more expensive the stone. Intensely dark stones are rare. Most Aquamarines on the market have been heat treated to modify the stone's tendency toward green. The color range is from nearly colorless to a strong sea blue.

Fun Facts: The largest aquamarine of gemstone quality ever mined was found in Marambaia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1910. It weighed over 244 lbs (110 kg), and its dimensions were 19 in (48.5 cm) long and 17 in (42 cm) in diameter. 
The largest cut aquamarine gem is the Dom Pedro aquamarine, now housed in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. 
According to legend, Aquamarine originated in the ocean treasure chest of mermaids, and has, since ancient times, been regarded as the sailors' lucky stone.
