Size: 10mm x 8mm in size; 10.75mm or a bit more than 3/8" across the setting. On a US penny coin that would be the measure from the top of the coin to Lincoln's tie. 

Shape: Oval shape.

Color: Deep purple color, THE best color for Amethyest.

Cut: Well cut. 

Clarity: Clear and clean.

Surface: Well polished with a vitreous surface.
