**Tourmaline Facts:
With a Refractive index of 1.624 to 1.644 and a Mohs Hardness of 7 to 7.5, Tourmaline in all its gorgeous colors is very suitable for any jewelry application. At their best, green tourmalines are transparent, brilliant, and clean, with attractive bluish green hues. Ivy is one of those "best quality" gemstones. 

Tourmaline is used as a birthstone for October, along with opal. Tourmaline is also used as a gemstone to commemorate an eighth wedding anniversary.

**Silver Facts:
Argentium® Silver,  Continuum® Silver and  Sterlium Plus® Silver Sterling Silver is designated as .930. Sterling Silver is designated as . 925.

These new formulas of silver contain more germanium than traditional Sterling Silver.  Additionally these formulas are hypoallergenic, antibacterial and highly tarnish resistant.

These silvers do not contain nickel, copper or lead  which is the main reason that plated items may irritate your skin. Rarely some people are allergic to the copper in the traditional Sterling Silver alloy. These people should not be allergic to this new  formula for silver jewelry.

Even though Ivy should require very little maintenance I will include a small anti-tarnish tab which should be kept with your ring when you are not wearing it. The tab should last for 2 years. It will not harm your pearl. The tab does not prevent tarnish, but it will inhibit tarnish from forming. Use it or not as you choose. You will also receive an opal safe polishing cloth with your order. Keep your ring in the ring box Adan comes in when not wearing her. This will protect her from nicks and scratches.
